Registration
and Fees: To register, please send the registration
form by mail or fax, or call or email Clarion's Division of Continuing
Education with the information. Contact information is at the bottom
of the registration form. The fee
for the weekend is $100 if payment is postmarked by ???????, and $125
if postmarked later. Discount rates are available for Clarion University
faculty, staff and students, as indicated on the registration form.
The registration fee includes all program materials, admission to
all workshops and concerts, and two continental breakfasts. Participants
are responsible for lodging and extra meal costs.
Scholarships: A limited number of half-price scholarships
are available in exchange for helping out during the weekend. Please

Location: All activities are held at Clarion University of Pennsylvania,
just off Interstate 80, Exit 64 (old exit 10), in the town of Clarion,
located in western Pennsylvania.
Driving Directions:
From I-80, Exit 64 (old exit 10), turn toward Clarion
(right from westbound, left from eastbound) on Route 66. Continue
for approximately 3 miles. Clarion University will be on the right.
Marwick-Boyd Fine Arts Center is a large building next to the road.
To find Hart Chapel or Founders Hall, continue on Greenville Avenue
(Route 66) onto Eighth Avenue. At the stoplight, turn right onto
Wood Street (the intersection is by Wendy's). Hart Chapel is the
small building on the left, and Founders Hall is the large building
on the left.
From I-80, Exit 62 (old exit 9), turn toward Clarion's
business district (right from westbound, left from eastbound) on
Route 68. Continue for approximately one-half mile. Turn right onto
Main Street (Route 322, east). Continue on Main Street through one
stoplight. Turn right at the next stoplight onto Eighth Avenue (across
from the 7-Eleven). To find Hart Chapel or Founders Hall, turn left
at the next stoplight (by Wendy's). To find Marwick-Boyd, continue
through the light at Wood Street, and follow the road around the
bend onto Greenville Avenue. Marwick Boyd will be the third building
on the left next to the road.
Meals & Lodging: Participants have the option of staying
in a dorm room at Clarion University. Mark on your registration
form, call 814-393-2227, or email kstiglitz@clarion.edu
if you wish to stay in the dorm. The cost of a dorm room will be
$15 per person per night. Linens will be provided, but you need
to supply your own towel and toiletries. The rooms are double occupancy,
so if you have a roommate preference, please indicate on your registration
form. Your name must also appear on your roommate's registration
form. If no roommate is indicated, you will arbitrarily be assigned
a roommate. There is no central air in the building at this time
of year, so please plan for the weather.
Other accomodations can be secured at the Super 8 motel in Clarion
(off Exit 62 (old exit 9), I-80) for $42 double occupancy per night
and $37 single occupancy per night, or the Days Inn (located near
the Super 8) for $47 a night. Both rates exclude sales tax. The

The Days Inn number is 814-226-8682. If you desire accommodations
at either location, please specify that you are a participant in
the Clarion University Folk College to ensure this discounted room
rate.
Continental breakfast will be provided for participants on Saturday
and Sunday morning. There are many restaurants within walking distance
from the campus, plus a few delivery services available. Clarion's
business district is a short walk from the campus, and many options
are available.
Concerts: Clarion Folk College participants can attend the
concerts at no additional charge. The cost of the Friday and Saturday
night concerts will be $10 for anyone who is not participating in
the festival. Concert tickets will be available at the door. The
Sunday concert is free and open to the public.
